What is the purpose of GQZ series ball bearings

Horizontal displacement: releases the horizontal relative slip caused by temperature expansion and concrete shrinkage and creep.
2、 Three types of division of labor (core engineering selection)
GQZ-GD fixed support
Horizontal displacement is not allowed; Only bear vertical loads and resist longitudinal and transverse horizontal forces, serving as displacement fixed points for structural displacement.
2. GQZ-DX Unidirectional Active Support
Allow horizontal sliding in a single direction and limit displacement in another direction; Commonly used for extending and contracting along the bridge direction and constraining the transverse bridge direction.
3. GQZ-SX bidirectional movable support
Both vertically and horizontally can slide freely; Meet the multi-directional deformation requirements of curved bridges and wide bridges.
Expansion: Customizable earthquake resistant and pull-out resistant GQZ bearings, with additional resistance to seismic forces and vertical tensile forces.
3、 Typical application scenarios
1. Municipal/highway bridges (most mainstream)
Long span continuous beams, rigid frame bridges, and interchanges;
Curved bridges, inclined bridges, sloping bridges, and wide box girders (advantageous scenarios, with insufficient rotational ability of ordinary bowl shaped supports);
Bridges in high-intensity seismic fortification areas.
2. Steel structure of building space
Gymnasium dome, terminal building, exhibition center, steel structure corridor, large-span truss structure.
3. Selection of special working conditions
Cold regions (-40 ℃ low temperature, unlike rubber bearings that are prone to hardening and failure);
Coastal corrosive environment; Long term outdoor, requiring durability and minimal maintenance work.
4、 Why choose GQZ ball bearings instead of pot bearings (GPZ)?
Universal uniform rotation: Consistent rotation performance in any direction, suitable for curved bridges and irregular structures; The bowl shaped support has good unidirectional rotation performance and limited lateral rotation angle;
Larger turning angle: conventional 0.05rad, up to 0.08rad, suitable for large deflection structures;
Not relying on rubber pressure: there is no rubber aging causing rotational failure, and the service life is longer;
The rotational torque is stable and not affected by the size of the angle of rotation.
5、 Key points for use (selection&construction)
Distinguish between load, displacement, and rotation requirements, and reasonably match GD/DX/SX combinations;
The top and bottom surfaces of the support must be leveled, and it is strictly prohibited to install them at an angle, otherwise the spherical load will accelerate wear and tear;
The internal PTFE skateboard relies on silicone grease lubrication and is installed with a dust-proof seal;
The sliding direction of the movable support must be consistent with the deformation direction of the drawing structure;
Remove the temporary limit plate before unloading, otherwise it will jam the support and cause additional internal forces in the structure.
